The Seed File™ Review · for founders raising a seed round
Before an investor finds the reasons to say no, find them yourself.
A written, investor-grade review of your deck, your model and your cap table, inside five business days, then two working sessions to fix what it finds. $1,750 flat. The Seed File™ book and workbook included.
Who it is for
Founders raising a seed round in the next 90 to 180 days.
You are building a beverage, supplement or packaged-goods brand and you have at least one of these: a deck, a draft model, a cap table with SAFEs or notes on it, or early commercial evidence such as a retailer test, subscription numbers or a first production run sold through. It does not have to be finished. It has to exist, because the Review scores what is there and names what is not.
It is not for a company that is still deciding whether to raise, or for a raise that closes next week. Ninety days is enough time to fix what the Review finds; ten days is not.
What you receive
Every reason an investor would pass, found first and fixed in order.
The written read
Your deck and file scored, line by line, on the fifteen things an investor checks without calling you, from who owns the company to what one unit earns after everyone is paid. For each: what you have, what is half built, what is missing.
The specific gaps, named
The questions an investor will ask in the first two weeks, in the order they will find them, each with the evidence that answers it. They become facts you disclosed rather than problems they discovered.
Cap table and SAFE corridor
Your cap table read as an investor reads it: what the SAFEs and notes convert to, what the founders hold after the round, and the valuation put through a real range so the number you say in the room is one you can explain.
The prioritized fix list
A punch list in the order to build it, with what each fix takes and who does it, so the ninety days go on the three things that change the answer, not the twelve that do not.
Two working sessions
The first, in week two, decides what you fix and who does it. The second, in week four, reads what you fixed and rehearses the three sentences you say when they ask how you got your number.
The Seed File™ book and workbook
The book and its fifteen templates, $399 on their own, included, so the file you build after the sessions has a form to go into.
Exact delivery
Five business days after complete materials are received.
The clock starts when your deck and the sixteen intake answers are in, not when you pay. Most founders complete the intake in an evening.
Secure payment link the same day. One tick accepts the terms and the mutual NDA. The intake sheet arrives within a business day.
Deck, intake answers, and whatever exists of the model, cap table and numbers. Half-finished is fine.
Scorecard, gaps, cap-table read, valuation range and the fix list, in one document.
What you fix, who does it, by when.
What you fixed, read again, and the price conversation rehearsed.
Price
Everything on this page, one price. No equity, no success fee, no percentage of the raise. The book and workbook included. Full refund any time before the written read is delivered.
For scale: a seed round of $1.5 million at a $10 million post-money is $150,000 for every point of ownership. The Review costs 1.2 percent of one point. It raises your odds. It does not guarantee a yes, and nobody honest will tell you otherwise.
Why now
Every investor meeting without the file is a diligence rehearsal you do not control.
The first fund you meet will open your deck and then look for what is not in it. If they find it, you learn about the gap from a pass email, three weeks later, with no second look. If you find it first, the meeting is about your company instead of your paperwork, and the gap is a line you disclosed with the fix already under way.
Investors talk to each other. The version of your company that reaches the second fund is the one the first fund read. Make it the fixed one.
What it is not
Four things the Review does not do, said plainly.
Who reads your file
Not a junior analyst. Not a template.
Every Review is done personally by Dr. Scott Kimball. Twenty years as an operator, fourteen of them as a manufacturing executive. EVP of a nutrition manufacturer through its growth and its sale to private equity, a ten-times multiple in twenty-one months, then Chief People Officer of the acquirer, making six manufacturers across seven plants into one company.
Since then, the other side of the table: seed investing through CLMB Ventures, which he co-owns, and hundreds of founder decks and files read the way a fund reads them. Before any of it, a PhD in industrial-organizational psychology and postdoctoral work at Gallup on the research behind CliftonStrengths, which is why the Review reads the founder as carefully as the numbers.
One company, one relationship. A Review is not a pitch to CLMB and does not move you up any list. It buys Scott’s work, not his check.
Questions founders ask
The details, before you book.
How long does the Review take?
The written read arrives inside five business days of a complete intake, counted from the day your deck and your answers to the sixteen intake questions are in. The first working session is in week two; the second in week four.
Is my deck confidential?
Yes. A mutual NDA is signed at checkout, before anything is sent, and the engagement terms put confidentiality in writing. Your materials are read by one person, Scott, and are not shared, benchmarked publicly or shown to CLMB Ventures or any other investor.
What do I need to submit?
Your deck as it stands, your answers to sixteen short intake questions, and whatever exists of the rest: the model or forecast, the cap table with any SAFEs or notes, the last twelve months of numbers, and any commercial evidence such as retailer sell-through or subscription data. Half-finished is the useful state; the Review is built to find what is missing.
What if it is not the right fit?
Full refund at any time before the written read is delivered, no reason required. If, on reading the intake, Scott judges that the Review will not help you, he says so and refunds in full.
Can the fee be credited toward the Rebuild?
Yes. If you go on to The Seed File™ Rebuild within thirty days of the Review, the $1,750 is credited in full against the $11,000 fee.
Does the Review include investor introductions?
No. Scalewrights is an advisory firm, not a placement agent, and Scott's investing through CLMB Ventures is kept separate under one rule: one company, one relationship. The Review buys his work, not his check, and no introductions are for sale.
Is $1,750 the whole price?
Yes. One flat fee, no equity, no success fee, no percentage of the raise. The Seed File™ book and its fifteen-template workbook, $399 on their own, are included.
