For advisers who refer · lawyers, accountants, bankers, board members
I do not compete with your work. I prepare the company so it survives it.
If you have a client about to raise, scale, recapitalize or sell, I can give them a confidential written read of their file before the stakes get higher: the numbers, the operating proof and the ownership story, scored the way the other side of the table will score them.
Download the Referral Partner Kit (PDF, six pages): what we do on one page, who to refer, outcomes and timelines, the positioning statement, a sample deliverable and two introduction emails.
What the read does
The first hour of diligence, run before diligence starts.
An investor, a lender or a buyer opens the file and prices what they can check. Everything they cannot check, they discount, and the discount arrives as a lower number or a pass, weeks later, with no explanation. The read finds those gaps first and puts them in writing with the fix for each, in the order to build, so your client walks into your process with a file that holds.
It makes your work easier, not harder. The cap table is reconciled before the lawyer redlines the SAFE. The revenue matches the bank before the accountant signs the quality-of-earnings. The story the banker takes to market is the one the file can prove.

How a referral works
One email. Your client deals with me directly.
Your name and firm, the client, what is coming and when. Or introduce us on a thread; either works.
To you and the client together, with the right read for the moment, the fee, and the terms and mutual NDA to read first.
They pay a flat fee directly. You are never in the money and never asked to be. Full refund before delivery.
Most do. It gives you the gap list before your own work starts.
Who does the reading
Not a junior analyst. Not a template.
Every read is done personally by Dr. Scott Kimball: twenty years as an operator, fourteen as a manufacturing executive. EVP of a nutrition manufacturer through its growth and its sale to private equity, a ten-times multiple in twenty-one months, then Chief People Officer of the acquirer, integrating six manufacturers across seven plants. Since then, seed investing through CLMB Ventures, which he co-owns, and hundreds of founder files read from the other side of the table. A PhD in industrial-organizational psychology and postdoctoral work at Gallup underneath it.
One company, one relationship. A read is not a pitch to CLMB and does not move a client up any list. It buys Scott’s work, not his check.
Flat fee. No equity. No success fee. No referral fee paid or taken, so your advice to the client stays yours.
For advisers who refer
Before the stakes get higher, a written read of the file.
One email is the whole process. Your client gets the read; you get a client who arrives prepared.
