The Seed File™ Review · $1,750 flat

Find out what the investor will find. Before the investor does.

You are about to ask someone for money. Their team will open your deck and then look for what is not in it: who owns the company, whether the numbers match the bank, who makes the product, what one unit earns after everyone is paid. The Review is me doing that first, in writing, and then helping you fix what I find before the first meeting instead of after it.

What you get, step by step →

What you get

Every reason they would pass, found and fixed first.

The written read

Your deck and your file scored, line by line, on the fifteen things an investor checks without calling you. For each one: what you have, what is half built, what is missing, and the fastest fix. The same read I give the decks that come to me as an investor.

Your price, tested

Your valuation put through a real range, built from your numbers and from comparable rounds, so the number you say in the room is one you can explain when they ask how you got it.

The ten questions, answered before they are asked

The reasons an investor would say no, in the order they would find them, each with the fix, so they become facts you disclosed rather than problems they discovered.

Two working sessions

The first, in week two, to decide what you will fix and who does it. The second, in week four, to read what you fixed and rehearse the price conversation. A written punch list follows each.

Who reads your file

Not a junior analyst. Not a template.

Every Review is done personally by Dr. Scott Kimball: twenty years as an operator, EVP of a nutrition manufacturer through its growth and its sale to private equity, then Chief People Officer of the acquirer, making six manufacturers across seven plants into one company. Since then, hundreds of founder decks read from the other side of the table.

One thing said plainly, because it matters. Scott also invests at seed through CLMB Ventures, which he co-owns. The two are kept deliberately separate, under one rule:

One company, one relationship. A Review is not a pitch to CLMB and does not move you up any list. It buys Scott’s work, not his check.

Flat fee. No equity. No success fee. No introductions for sale, to CLMB or to anyone else.

How it works

Four steps. About twenty minutes of your time.

STEP 01

Say hello

One email: your company, when the raise opens, and how much you are raising. The same day you get a secure payment link, with the engagement terms and the mutual NDA to read first. $1,750 flat. One price, everything on this page, the book and the workbook included.

STEP 02

Pay, then send what you have

One tick at checkout accepts the terms and the NDA, and the intake sheet arrives within a business day. Then your deck, the real one, and your answers to sixteen short questions. Half-written is fine; that is the useful state. The questions alone will sharpen your raise.

STEP 03

The written read, inside five business days

All fifteen lines scored from the evidence, the ten questions an investor will ask with the fix for each, your valuation put through a real range, what your ask buys in months, and a punch list in the order to build it.

STEP 04

Two sessions, two weeks apart

The first decides what you fix. The second reads what you fixed and rehearses the three sentences you say when they ask how you got your number. You leave with a file an investor can check instead of believe.

The email is how it starts today; a same-day reply carries the secure payment link. Written read inside five business days of a complete intake. Full refund any time before it is delivered.

What the Review scores: the same list an investor checks without calling you, from who owns the company to what one unit earns.

The deck gets the meeting. The file gets the check.

Find out which one you are holding before an investor does. $1,750, flat, the book included, and a full refund any time before the read is delivered.
